CFC has a need for a Credit Portfolio Analyst to join our Credit Risk Management team. The Credit Portfolio Analyst creates and maintains automated portfolio analysis models/tools and reporting systems that are used to monitor and evaluate the credit quality and performance statistics of CFC’s loan and guarantee portfolios.

As the Credit Portfolio Analyst, you will:
• Create and maintain automated portfolio analysis models/tools and reporting systems that collect, organize, analyze and present data, metrics and trends with regard to the credit quality and performance statistics of CFC’s loan and guarantee portfolios.
• Produce recurrent and ad hoc analytics and reports which are widely used and relied upon by management and the CFC’s boards of directors to manage portfolio credit risk, and to support lending and other business decisions.
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly portfolio summary and report which is distributed to senior and mid-level management and includes commentary, analysis and output from multiple reports.
• Reconcile the loan and guarantee balances in the month-end data repositories against the related balances in CFC’s financial statements, and ensures the integrity of the data contained in repositories for portfolio analytics, modeling and reporting as well as other CFC reports and applications.
• Troubleshoot data issues with accounting and IT departments, streamline query/data collection processes, enhance automated portfolio analysis models/tools and reporting systems, implement process improvements and develop and maintain updated procedures.

To be successful, you will need:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Data Science or other related quantitative field.
• 5 years of experience with data, analytics, modeling and report development in a business role.
• Some related experience with a major bank or financial services company preferred.
• Industry qualifications such as CFA, FRM desired.
• Detail oriented with strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong financial acumen, with ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Knowledge of database architecture, data warehouses and related applications/tools/skills used for business data collection, organization, analysis, modeling and report development.
• Advanced MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and Power BI skills.
• Ability to query and transform various data sources using Power Query and SQL
• Advanced data modeling abilities and creating relationships between disparate data sources.
• Intermediate knowledge of DAX in Power Pivot and Power BI
• Ability to write VBA code from scratch is a big plus
• Basic knowledge/experience with statistical or mathematical software packages (R, MATLAB, SAS, etc.)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with other employees in a group/team environment.
• Highly organized with ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a dynamic work environment.
