Job Description:
At Regions, the Regulatory Liaison I is responsible for developing and maintaining a trusting and transparent relationship between Regions Bank and its regulatory partners by collaborating with business groups to ensure regulatory interactions are reflective of Regions' mission, vision and values.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintains an understanding of the present state of the regulatory environment
- Provides administrative support to more senior Regulatory Liaisons, as needed
- Maintains a calendar of, schedules, and oversees regulatory interactions, including exam and other forms of continuous monitoring regulatory interactions
- Maintains records of regulatory interactions and shares insights across teams and members of senior management to ensure appropriate awareness of areas of regulatory focus and the status of open regulatory exams and/or findings
- Manages the database of information related to regulatory interactions (i.e., exams, findings, meetings, request, etc.) to ensure consistent, complete, and well organized records are maintained for future reference
- Manages deadlines for regulatory responses and submissions
- Develops and maintains process documents to guide the activities of the Regulatory Operations team
- Develops trainings to promote heightened awareness of regulatory expectations and Regions' standards
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Two (2) years of experience in a financial or regulatory environment
Skills and Competencies
- Analytical skills, including ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment when applicable
- Demonstrate judgment in maintaining confidential information with extreme discretion
