Job Description:

At Regions, the Commercial Banking (CB) Regional Executive directs and provides strategic leadership to market leaders in a defined geographical area. This position manages a team of middle market leaders and Relationship Managers within the assigned area. This executive works within the CB group and targets general industry clients with annual revenues between $1 and $250 million. The role is focused on revenue growth, business model execution, strategic planning, sales performance, sound risk practices, and customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serves as the senior commercial banking leader in a designated market
  • Coordinates and develops relationships with internal partners to deliver to clients the full suite of company financial products and services
  • Ensures execution of the company's relationship strategy
  • Drives market-level strategy execution and consistency relative to relationship management, quality service, and risk
  • Provides leadership, support, guidance, and coaching to CB leaders in other markets
  • Collaborates with internal teams by partaking in weekly sales and portfolio development meetings
  • Provides leadership to business unit trainings and webcasts, participating in company activities
  • Communicates bank strategies and local action plans to relationship teams, ensuring overall market profitability, increased market share, and achievement of internal initiatives
  • Coaches teams to prioritize highest value clients and prospects while operating within bank credit standards, risk management practices, and profitability requirements
  • Ensures the appropriate level of involvement of business partners with core relationship teams to ensure completeness of client solutions
  • Performs general management duties, exercising usual authority concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, and terminations

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Twelve (12) years of experience in progressively responsible roles within commercial banking
  • Highly developed credit acumen
  • Demonstrated history of executing strategy, developing markets, and closing complex transactions

Preferences

  • Master's degree in related field
