Job Description:
At Regions, the Enterprise Operations Quality Control Specialist provides quality control support adhering to the established laws regulating the lines of business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Performs review of specific Enterprise Operations business activities to policies and procedures were followed and to ensure documents were appropriate and executed properly
- Enters and clears exceptions within the Quality Control system
- Ensures compliance to department, bank and federal guidelines and procedures to mitigate risk
- May train less experienced associates
This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three (3) years of work experience within the prescribed business unit or one (1) year quality assurance and/or audit experience
- Three (3) years experience working with regulatory requirements with associated line of business
Skills and Competencies
- Microsoft Office
- Detail oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Additional Responsibilities
- Vast understanding of system navigation via Verint to review and complete monthly oversight investigating if Business Group made applicable decisions when completing customer wire transactions aligned to Regulation E/OFAC/BSA, etc. decisions
- Vast understanding and ability to decipher payment instructions, receipts via Verint and CA View and wire correspondence
- Handles all reviews with minimal to no instruction
- Ability to work independently and problem solve, research, fact finding to formulate responses to the Business Group related to cited exceptions due to investigation errors for regulatory ineffectiveness
- Completes monthly QC regulatory analysis to determine trending concerns
- Provides advice and guidance to less experienced associates as needed
- Knowledgeable of all applicable laws, controls and procedures supporting Payments including but not limited to Regulation E, OFAC, BSA/AML, FINCEN
- Provide detailed management summary to any requested audit, internal/external partner and/or agency follow up, subpoenas, etc. concerning the decisioning of any assigned review in scope targeted or monthly
- Ability to investigate fraudulent wires and cases and assess exceptions necessary for citing
This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
