We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated IT Disaster Recovery Coordinator to join our dynamic team here at Zions Bancorporation, N.A. As a Disaster Recovery Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the resilience and continuity of our banking operations by developing, implementing, and managing robust disaster recovery strategies and protocols. Your expertise will contribute to safeguarding our organization against potential disruptions and ensuring that our services remain accessible and secure for our clients.

Responsibilities:
As a subject manager expert, you'll help ensure the company is prepared to recover systems in the event of a disaster and communicate areas of risk where recoverability is unknown or uncertain, with responsibilities that will include the following;
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive disaster recovery plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the unique needs of our banking operations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of disaster recovery strategies with overall business objectives.
- Conducting thorough assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and assess the impact of various disaster scenarios on our banking systems, data, and operations.
- Leading the execution of disaster recovery tests and exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of recovery strategies, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure proper documentation, execution, and evaluation of test results while identifying areas for improvement and driving enhancements to our disaster recovery capabilities.
- Serving as a central point of contact for disaster recovery efforts, collaborating closely with IT teams, business units, and external partners.
- Facilitating effective communication during incidents, ensuring timely updates and resolutions.
- Liaising on business projects and IT initiatives to ensure that disaster recovery considerations are made as appropriate.
- Providing training to relevant stakeholders on disaster recovery protocols, procedures, and best practices in an effort to raise awareness about disaster recovery across the organization, fostering a culture of preparedness and responsiveness.
- Driving program improvements and alignment with industry best practices and regulatory expectations related to disaster recovery.
Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years in Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Enterprise Architecture, or Infrastructure roles.
- Proven experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation within the banking or financial services industry.
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and lead teams during crisis situations.
- Proficiency in leveraging disaster recovery technologies, data backup systems, and cloud-based recovery solutions.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer (CDRE) would be a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to recognize and address enhancement opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail and a focus on accurate and timely results.
- A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
Location:
This position is located at the Zions Technology Center, Salt Lake City, UT (hybrid work schedule) or can be 100% remote within the continental United States.
Salary Range:
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $100,000 to $140,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience and location.
Bonus: This position may be eligible for a bonus.
