The Service Support Project Manager is responsible for overseeing medium to large scale Service Support projects aligned with Service Support strategic and organizational initiatives. This position provides organization and structure to projects, promotes communication between teams, seeks ways to improve existing systems, and streamlines processes/operations. The Service Support Project Manager works with the project sponsor to understand the business base and ensures project deliverables are met and the desired business results are obtained. The Service Support Project Manager will be responsible for working with the project sponsor on project planning, risk management, change control, issue management and escalation. This position interacts with service support managers and technical staff to provide consistent communication and updates on project performance, schedule and resources.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain inventory of ongoing, future and completed projects with proper documentation, analysis and metrics, and related reporting summaries.
  • Identifies process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectives across Service Support.
  • Develop project plans, goals, budgets; identifying resources needed.
  • Develop schedules and methods for measuring results.
  • Coordinate and participate in strategic planning processes.
  • Guide and perform strategic analysis for the project.
  • Organize and manage all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion within budgetary guidelines.
  • Assemble and coordinate project team members; assign individual responsibilities.
  • Prepare requests for proposals and conduct all necessary meetings to facilitate selection of project services and products.
  • Plan and oversee the preparation and dissemination of project communications.
  • Interact with line of business leads, other organizational units and external partners.
  • Negotiate scope, schedule, and budget with internal and external business partners.
  • Establish common goals across multiple teams, and define useful metrics and reporting to track team performance.
  • Manage milestones across multiple teams.
