CNB is looking for an experienced, motivated, and client- and team-focused individual to join our team as a Loan Operations Assistant, ON-SITE at our office in Hillsdale.

JOB SUMMARY

Primary responsibility is to complete commercial post-close tasks. This position will also serve a backup for commercial loan input. Ability to multi-task and remain organized is essential to this role.

DUTIES

  • Processes commercial UCC tracking, amendments, and continuations.
  • Processes incoming and outgoing participation payments for commercial loans.
  • Processes lien releases and mortgage discharges for paid off commercial loans.
  • Removes recorded mortgages and final title policy after loan closing.
  • Assists with SBA 1502 report verification and reconciliation.
  • Provides backup to commercial loan boarding to the Bank's core system.
  • Answers incoming phone calls and routes accordingly.
  • Quotes loan payoffs, as requested.
  • Issues loan numbers to lenders and processors as requested.
  • Assists with general ledger reconciliation.
  • Assists with scanning and committing loan documents into Director.
  • Provides problem resolution as discovered or assigned by others.
  • Maintains and protects confidentiality of client information
  • Maintains regular, on-time attendance.
  • Remains current in assigned training and continuing education for designation retention (online, video, in-house emails, telephone seminars, etc.)
  • Complies with all regulatory requirements including Bank Secrecy Act and all others specific to their position.
  • Performs other various duties as assigned.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS - INTERNAL
  • Communicates on a regular basis with lenders, processors, and front-line associates.


CONTACT WITH OTHERS - EXTERNAL
  • Communicates on a regular basis with clients through loan department phone workgroups.
  • Communicates with title companies about payoff quotes.
  • Communicates with participating bank about payments and payoffs

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous commercial loan related experience preferred.
  • Passion for providing a stellar customer service experience to all clients (external and internal) and ability to instill this passion in others.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (tactfulness, cooperation, courteousness and client friendliness) are necessary to represent the bank in a positive manner.
  • Positive and cooperative approach when working with others.
  • Excellent written communication skills with demonstrated ability to write clearly, concisely and effectively, with attention to detail for visually appealing output and accurately proofreading publications.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the demonstrated ability to effectively present information to clients and management.
  • Strong administrative skills with effectiveness in developing tasks and managing resources to achieve targets/goals.
  • Ability to multi-task while paying attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
  • Ability to efficiently and accurately keyboard information, both computer and calculator.
  • Strong computer skills with a proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
