Performs a wide variety of secretarial, clerical, receptionist and loan duties for the Commercial/Consumer Loan Officers.  Assists other Loan Officers/Lenders and other personnel in loan administration as needed.  Assists with the gathering of information, completion of applications, and related documents necessary for the closing of all types of loans with an emphasis on commercial, real estate/mortgages, consumer, accounts receivable, charged off and other loans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Greets all persons and helps to create and maintain a friendly atmosphere. 

Performs secretarial and clerical duties including typing letters, memos and reports for the lenders, loan officers and loan personnel.    Answers telephones and relays calls and messages.

Completes any of the following: loan forms, RESPA documents, loan renewal documents, loan draws and other loan processes necessary for all types of loans, i.e., commercial, real estate/mortgage and consumer.

Prepares various reports using Excel and/or Microsoft Word.

Works on or assists loan officers with exceptions, past due loans, and maturing lists as needed.

Assists Loan Officers/Lenders as needed and generates composition and distribution of Loan Officer/Lender correspondence.

Orders appraisals, title and legal work, title insurance, surveys and flood certifications on all new loans.

Prepares documents necessary to close loans.

Reviews loan packages before they are sent to the Loan Operations Department.

Monitors, updates and closes loans in the pricing model.

Develops client relationships through phone calls, letters, and personal contact.

Completes on-line compliance training as required.

Performs other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

 

1.Three or more years banking experience in the loan area, with a thorough background in loan
  documentation and compliance.

 

2. Experience preparing from a rough draft or dictation, a variety of reports, charts, and other
    correspondence accurately.

 

3.  Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet functions or equivalent software programs.

 

4.  Familiarity with various office equipment including calculator, copy machine, fax machine

     and personal computer.

 

5.  Significant interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with a wide customer

     base, staff, and senior management.

 

6.  A sound knowledge of business writing and punctuation.

 

7.  Excellent telephone skills and etiquette.

 

8.  Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in confidential matters.

 

9.  Analytical skills necessary to compile and summarize data.

 

10.  Detail oriented and well organized.

 

11. Assertiveness to make and support decisions based on bank policies and operating procedures.
