Scope:
The Market President is responsible for the overall performance of the branch in a specific market.
Accountabilities:
The Market President will:
- Manage the banking affairs of the branch in a manner consistent with applicable bank regulations and act in a highly ethical manner in the bank and the community. Serve as the Agricultural and Commercial Lender for the branch. Prepare the strategic plan and budget for the branch. This plan and budget will include local marketing, business development, donations, community activities, profitability and expenses. Monitor performance and profitability goals including loan portfolio growth, non-interest income fee goals, deposit growth, call program effectiveness and asset quality. Develop relationships that lead to Agricultural and Commercial lending opportunities. Participate in business development activities and strategies including prospecting and call programs. Represent the bank in professional, civic and service organizations within the community. Require community involvement by other bank officers and promote involvement by the remainder of the staff. Use community involvement to develop contacts for new business opportunities. Coordinate marketing and sales efforts in the market and ensure these efforts coincide with established objectives and goals, while portraying a consistent image of Green Belt Bank & Trust. Promote positive and effective personnel management by providing direction in staff hiring, retention and motivation. Provide guidance to branch staff for resolution of customer issues as necessary. This may include collection efforts. Supervise the branch manager and provide meaningful performance reviews for this position twice a year. Participate and honorably represent GBB&T in sponsored and volunteer activities. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
- A 4-year college degree in an applicable area Specific banking industry education a plus
Experience:
- 5 years banking and management experience Experience should reflect financial acumen and familiarity with technology Leadership and supervisory experience
