What You'll do

This role will work under the direction of the Audit Manager(s) and is accountable for the timely execution of risk based internal audits in accordance with the annual plan.

How you'll make an impact:
  • Influence and accrue over time with each improved process to help reduce cost and inefficiencies
  • Provide assurance on the effectiveness of risk management / mitigation activities to reduce unwanted risks and improve operational efficiencies
  • Leverage systemic tools to expand audit analytics capabilities for more targeted, effective and efficient audits.


What you can expect:
  • Plan audit projects by performing project risk assessments that drive the development of audit objectives and create risk based audit programs.
  • Conduct client interviews and perform walkthroughs to evaluate control design.
  • Execute tests that validate control effectiveness and document testing results.
  • Identify emerging risks, audit issues and recommendations using independent judgment and be able to communicate findings succinctly to client personnel.
  • Draft audit reports that summarize the audit scope, conclusions, findings and recommendations.
  • Complete audit projects within assigned budgets and timelines.


What you'll bring:
  • Data analytic software experience (Tableau, Alteryx, or similar tool) preferred
  • Intermediate MS Office experience preferred
  • GRC Platform (e.g. Archer, Riskonnect)
  • 4+ years banking or financial services audit experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent practical experience.
  • Accounting, audit or equivalent certification
  • Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and changes, including different role requirements, or environments and work with a sense of focus and urgency
  • Understanding of industry audit frameworks.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and demonstrate project management skills.
  • Constructive professional skepticism and inquisitiveness.
