- Performs a quality check of all loans boarded with escrow services validating the escrow payees, deposits collected at closing, and payment schedules.
- Tracks and verifies all portfolio loans with escrow servicing, staying apprised of the latest escrow regulations while working closely with the Bank’s Loan Compliance Team.
- Runs escrow projections through monthly analysis and communicates with Loan Admins and Team Leaders should the Client’s escrow require attention.
- Pays all escrow commitments with timely payment to prevent unnecessary fees.
- Maintains procedures for payment of escrow accounts determining the most cost-effective manner of payment and payment tracking.
- Generates escrow mailings for Clients and uploads all analysis and communication to FDM.
- Processes payment overages; crediting client’s accounts or generating checks for reimbursements.
- Completes refund processing for closed loans with outstanding escrow funds.
- Cross-train for other loan operations functions as requested for backup.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Loan Specialist 1
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 2 years banking or loan operations experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive way when communicating with clients and other team members.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy; recognize and question procedure deviations that may indicate special handling is required.
- Independent, proactive, and goal focused. Self-motivated and team player, with desire to promote a collaborative work environment.
- Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose challenges and provide viable resolutions.

- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline preferred.
- 2 to 5 years banking or loan operations experience.
- Subject matter expert within core position.
Loan Specialist III
Additional requirements:
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline preferred.
- 5+ years banking or loan operations experience.
- Subject matter expert within core position, provides leadership.
- Competency in multiple loan operations functions.
WORK CONDITIONS
- This position must be able to sit for long periods of time as the position involves the majority of time spent at a computer.
- This position requires little to no travel.
