Basic Function
The Vice President Private Banking Advisor is responsible for developing, managing and retaining client relationships with high-net-worth individuals and selling a broad range of solutions to meet the client’s various financial needs. The Advisor will work with clients, and sometimes client’s financial teams, to understand complex financial objectives. Specific solutions provided to these clients include depository, credit and other services offered by the Bank. In addition, the individual must possess the ability to manage a variety of tasks and work in an interactive environment. Position supports the SVP/Managing Director of Private Banking.

Job Duties
- Responsible for assisting in the management of the daily activities for clients of the Private Banking Group including client service and maintenance responsibilities
- Utilizes banking product knowledge to manage client titling, FDIC insurance coverage and structuring of various types of accounts
- Ensures that the highest levels of client service are met in working with clients of Private Banking Department. This includes, but is not limited to, meeting with clients to help with bank transactions, picking up or delivering materials directly to clients, taking phone calls and being the point of contact for clients needing assistance
- Assists with consumer loans by gathering required information and preparing the initial introduction of the credit package for approval
- Prepares client proposals and coordinate approval process if needed
- Prepares monthly reports of key departmental information and submits to other Bank departments
- Coordinates marketing and event activities including coordination of seminars, mailings, client events and follow up items
- Commitment to providing clients a concierge banking experience
- Maintains data for Private Banking including Private Banking list, contact management through Outlook and pipeline reporting
- Willing to handle periodic client issues outside of regular banking hours
- Attends regular Private Banking sales pipeline meetings
- Professional and positive attitude is essential
- Attend networking and educational events as coordinated with manager

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent client service skills, with an emphasis on working with clients that have high expectations
- Excellent verbal communication skills, both in person and via telephone
- Excellent writing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office computer applications including Excel spreadsheets
- Strong knowledge of deposit/investment solutions and regulatory compliance requirements
- Must be able to maintain the utmost confidentiality
- Understanding of general business operations
- An expert degree of tact and professionalism required along with knowledge of the interest rate, security and other economic markets
Training & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or equivalent related experience
- Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in consumer/banking industry including consumer lending
- Additional training/education helpful
- Experience with Fiserv application preferred
