Position Summary
The Lockbox Remittance Specialist II handles the servicing of all lockbox clients. You would be expected to maintain a high level of production and accuracy while processing customers payments, conducting client research and support, replying to customer inquiries.

The Lockbox Remittance Specialist II handles the servicing of all lockbox clients. You would be expected to maintain a high level of production and accuracy while processing customers payments, conducting client research and support, replying to customer inquiries.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Payment Preparations and Processing
- Sort incoming mail into correct customer bin.
- Prepare batches of work by removing payments and forms from envelopes
- Process all lockbox deposits from direct and indirect customers.
- Manage timely responses for all incoming client requests via shared ticketing system.
• Quality Assurance Processing Measures
- Follow standard operating procedures and customer specific instructions through data entry
- Verifying checks through customer specific instructions for processing
- Balance/reconcile electronic and paper documentation
- Analyze information to determine accuracy and completeness of work
- Conduct non-routine research
- Operate high-speed imaging/ extraction Opex equipment
- Re-associate check images to corresponding material while validating quality of images
- Maintain PCI and HIPAA compliance and follow established policies and procedures as related to internal audits and security.
- Generate image cash letter files for deposits and perform system balancing procedures.
- Generate daily reject reports and accurately pull original documents for further processing.
- Perform quality assurance and initiate incoming and outbound system file imports and exports intra-day to ensure client deadlines are met.
- Access client database to retrieve, print and prepare deposits when missing payment coupons.
- Research out of balance transactions and make judgement on how to process or reject transactions.
- Maintain onsite inventory of processed documents and checks and ensure timely destruction deadlines are met.
- Process deposit adjustments received via internal and external clients.
• Team Support:
- Lend help to immediate team/team members, as needed.
- Prepare e-batches of work for remote data entry associates.
- Prepare daily outgoing UPS and USPS mail packages.
- Support routine billing processes by providing accurate data to management.
- Provide new hire training/shadowing.
Education & Experience
• Knowledge of:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Keen sense of quality control and practice

• Ability to:
- Analyze and comprehend client's standard operating procedures and instructions
- Decipher incoming client issues and action or escalate if needed
- Complete multiple manual tasks per transaction and/or client with precision
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time
- Be a team player and maintain a positive attitude at all times
- Make judgment calls regarding routine duties but refer non-routine situations to asupervisor and/or manager
• Education and Training:
- Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years lockbox experience
- 2+ years customer service experience
- Opex Falcon and Eagle scanning - experience required
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills and keyboard/mouse usage w/10-key data entry
