Position Overview

The Sr. Office & Sales Support Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical work to support the Sterling office staff.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Notifies customers of credit approval or rejection by generating and mailing applicable letters.
  • Builds databases to hold up-to-date customer and dealer information.
  • Assists in preparing final settlements and coordinates information to ensure loan closings are handled in a timely manner.
  • Assists with funding.
  • Interacts frequently with customers and sales staff to relay information pertaining to loan transactions.
  • Communicates with customers, insurance companies, brokers, marine surveyors, and various banks.
  • Forwards conditions of approval to the desired bank.
  • Requests and orders documentation from outside companies and vendors.
  • Obtains loan payoffs, seller information, and closing time schedules with sales staff to maximize customer service.
  • Primary backup for the Regional Sales Loan Manager when staff is unavailable or out of the office and may respond to customer inquiries as needed.
  • Assists customers with completing their loan documents, obtaining their first payment and account information with banks and credit unions.
  • Answers incoming phone calls and responds to the inquiry, transfers the call to the appropriate individual or takes a message as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Education and Work Experience

  • High school degree required, 4-year degree preferred
  • 4 years business experience required
  • Must have excellent verbal, math, and customer service skills, possess clerical accuracy and be detail oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are needed
