Responsibilities
- Holistic Strategy and Vision : Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic roadmap for both debit and credit card services, aligned with the bank's overall objectives. Identify market trends, consumer needs, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and growth in both product lines.
- Product Development and Management : Lead the development, enhancement, and management of both debit and credit card products and services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new offerings, improve existing products, and ensure compliance with regulations specific to each card type.
- Performance Management : Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the performance of both debit and credit card products and services. Analyze data to derive insights, optimize performance, and make informed decisions for each card type.
- Team Leadership : Manage and mentor a high-performing team handling both debit and credit card services. Provide guidance, support, and development opportunities, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration across both divisions.
- Partnership and Relationship Management : Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, in the debit and credit card ecosystem. Collaborate effectively to optimize partnerships and drive business objectives for both card types.
- Risk and Compliance : Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and risk management protocols specific to debit and credit card services. Implement measures to mitigate risks and maintain a strong control environment in both divisions.
- Budgeting and Financial Management : Develop and manage the budget for both debit and credit card services. Monitor expenses, analyze financial performance, and make strategic adjustments to optimize financial outcomes for each card type.
Requirements
Skills/Experience/Education
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in card services, with a proven track record of leadership in managing both debit and credit card offerings within a financial institution or related industry.
- Strong understanding of debit and credit card products, payment processing regulations, and industry trends.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive innovation and change across multiple card service divisions.
Essential Mental & Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions.
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
- Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
- Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 15 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division any "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
