Job Description:

At Regions, the Administrative Assistant - Executive performs advanced, diversified, and confidential administrative duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skill, and knowledge of organization policies and practices. This position may assist a senior manager, executive, or a group of managers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support for day to day business activities of an executive and their team
  • Coordinates the executives' calendar or appointments, meeting and travel itineraries, and coordinates related arrangements
  • Composes, prepares, reviews and/or modifies communications, presentation materials, reports, spreadsheets, and agenda
  • Greets and interacts with visitors to represent the organization in a professional manner to provide direction
  • Screens telephone calls and visitors
  • Resolves routine and some complex inquiries
  • Prepares and distributes minutes of meetings
  • Participates in special projects to support the departments goals
  • Summarizes content of incoming documents, special information, and meetings to assist the executive(s) in effective management of their time
  • May assist with administrative duties that are complex in nature and/or for complex and technical teams

This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Seven (7) years of experience in appropriate professional area or as an administrative assistant to senior management

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to anticipate manager or departmental needs
  • Ability to compose brief letters and memos and create and proof multi-page documents
  • Ability to deal with highly confidential materials/ documents
  • Ability to structure and proof complex documents, charts, graphs, and spreadsheets
  • Ability to work as a team and deal with internal and external customers
  • Advanced typing and word processing skills
  • High organizational skills
  • Proficiency using a personal computer
