Job Description:

At Regions, the Consumer Deposit Products and Payments Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of product development and management for Consumer Deposit Products, Network Relationships and Payments, and Non-Interest Revenue (NIR).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversees the development of short- and long-term strategies for Consumer deposit products, network relationships and payments, and NIR

  • Partners with external vendors and internal teams to shape the product strategy roadmap, bringing new products and services to market

  • Provides leadership for marketing strategies including advertising, packaging, pricing, expense budgets, profit plans and future product development

  • Builds highly effective relationships with key resources in and outside Consumer Bank to enhance processes and procedures for optimized growth and performance

  • Oversees product portfolios and KPIs to ensure product features maintain a profitable value proposition to increase shareholder value and meet customer expectations

  • Develops in depth understanding of Consumer Deposit products, NIR, and Network Payments and serves as a subject matter expert

  • Surveys payment industry efforts and peer competitors to identify areas of opportunity

  • Provides leadership for managing external vendors responsible for payments end-to-end operations, including processing services and technology providers, card networks, embossing and printing capabilities, and loyalty platforms

  • Directs priorities and provides ongoing coaching and development for the Consumer Deposit Products and Payments team

  • Provides risk management oversight throughout the life cycle of each product, ensuring adherence to all of Regions' compliance and regulatory standards

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

This is a single incumbent position.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance

  • Ten (10) years product management and development experience or financial services experience


  • Master's degree

  • Deposit related experience

  • NIR related experience

  • Network Payments and Relationships experience

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to analyze data and derive facts

  • Ability to influence others to effectively execute on strategic plans

  • Ability to lead a high performing team and work with senior management

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of the financial services industry, products, and services
