Job Description:

At Regions, the Accountant uses professional accounting concepts and internal company policies to solve routine accounting issues, prepares and analyzes financial results for reports, and partners with more experienced accountants to meet reporting needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintains and reconciles General Ledger and subsidiary system ledgers as well as performs entries and reconciliations
  • Assists with general ledger research and helps ensure the integrity of accounting information
  • May interact with various levels of internal and external clients to obtain or provide information and/or resolve issues for assigned tasks, accounts, and legal entities

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Or High School Diploma and four (4) years of directly related accounting or corporate finance experience

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to analyze and research with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels
  • Basic knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), accounting systems, and practices
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
