Broad knowledge of, and ability to manage, the processes which the bank uses to manage the credit risks inherent in a lending/asset generation and relationship environment. The Senior Credit Administrator in this culturally diverse bank will be a credit subject matter expert in the area of administering portfolios of loans of all types expected at the bank, and will have strong skills relating to transactional commercial credit, legal aspects of complex commercial operating and real estate loans.
Candidate will help implement an expanding credit culture which balances business generation, profit incentive and quality control. The Senior Credit Administrator participates in, administers and oversees all available risk management tools and processes to insure that bank consistently applies them to underwrite, identify, measure, manage and monitor credit risk. As an expert credit practitioner, this individual also helps manage currently minimal problem assets.
Supports origination process via “first look” through approval, consistent with policy, concentration limits, and credit quality. Will be responsible for oversight of and participation in, financial/industry analysis.
Enthusiastic approach to complex and specialized commercial borrowers.
Uses system-wide information systems to monitor loan performance, including financial covenants and the tracking of reporting or industry issues that impact credit quality.
Expertise in concentration reporting, stress testing, allowance and Board-level reporting.
Manages and develops several credit analysts.
BS or BA in Economics, Business, Accounting; other disciplines as applicable. MBA encouraged. 10+ years of industry experience including mix of lending and credit. 1+ years of management experience.
A thorough knowledge of risk management disciplines, regulatory rules and law, and techniques for credit risk management. Especially judgmentally decisioned Commercial and Commercial Real Estate lending. Proficiency with cash flow and balance sheet analysis. Proficient with Excel, Word and spreadsheet software at a minimum.
Customer oriented with skills needed to achieve effective relationships with internal and external customers, for using statistical information and economic information when analyzing industry and other risk. Ability to anticipate and interpret client needs. Excellent verbal, written and problem solving skills. Capable of working independently.
