Summary: Operates a teller’s window by providing prompt, efficient and accurate client service, representing the Bank in a courteous, professional manner, able to uncover client needs beyond the immediate transaction and successfully transition the client to the appropriate team member to address that need.
Has override permissions for teller team transactions and teller systems.
Assist management in developing strategies and processes to exceed client service via the teller line.
Coaches and teaches team to deliver exceptional service to clients.
Assists management with teller team appraisals. Assists management with individual teller development plans and teller career training.
Accepts deposits, verifying cash and endorsements, and issues receipts.
Processes credit card deposits and credit card advances.
Processes night deposit bags.
Redeems S. Savings Bonds.
Issues, logs in, and signs cashier’s checks and signs loan proceeds checks.
Accepts loan payments and safe deposit box rental payments.
Admits customer to safe deposit boxes.
Answers client inquiries and gives balances.
Balances transactions at end of day and verifies cash totals.
Assure they are always in compliance with BSA and Reg CC
Training, vault maintenance, scheduling, opening and closing.
May act in CSR support capacity as required.
Fill in at other Bank locations as deemed necessary by management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to lead by exhibiting professionalism, promoting service awareness, being operationally sound and possessing strong leadership and teamwork skills
Ability to work closely with all areas of the bank to ensure clear communication and implementation of all policy, procedures and compliance requirements are disseminated.
Interpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with clients and other team members.
Ability to effectively communicate while displaying the professional demeanor which is identified with Southern First Bank.
Ability to adjust to change and a willingness to be a team player.
Outgoing personality and a genuine desire to meet the public.
Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
Cash handling accuracy.
Successful completion of teller training and any other compliance training deemed necessary by the Bank.
This position sits or stands at a computer for extended periods of time.
