It is the responsibility of the Merchant Services Representative to take ownership of all tasks and challenges that they encounter in the operation of their assigned position and to process and handle requests for merchant relationships and operational support as it relates to the Merchant Services Department.

•Calls on prospective and existing merchant accounts to explain all aspects of the merchant services program, including merchant discounts, purchase limits, depository arrangements, and service. •Ensures proper completion of merchant sales agreements. •Meets with existing customers periodically to evaluate the customers’ needs and explain new, revised, or expanded services. •Acts as liaison between the company and the merchants, and refers merchants to other officers or departments in the company for additional financial services.
•Traveling is required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS •Education: Bachelors in related field •Experience: Banking and Merchant Services experience preferred •Knowledge: Good interpersonal skills, good computer skills, detail oriented, ability to analyze and solve problems, ability to work independently
