Summary Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding the requirements of the various laws, regulations and rulings governing the Bank's activities. Perform compliance testing procedures, document findings, discuss with management, and prepare a formal written report of findings and recommendations. Utilize the CenTrax system and other methods to analyze data relative to the Bank's performance under the Community Reinvestment Act.
Duties Analyze and interpret new bank regulatory requirements to ensure compliance program remains effective and accurate (in compliance).
Perform timely completion of audits based on an established compliance review schedule.
Recommend changes to Bank policies & procedures related to compliance requirements of regulations and laws.
Attend internal and external training programs related to bank compliance.
Develop an understanding of the CenTrax system in order to extract and analyze data on the Bank's CRA performance and create maps relating to the Bank's CRA Assessment Areas.
Cross-train to be a back-up for quality control audits.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work-related experience.
1-3 years of bank compliance or legal experience with a financial institution.
Possess strong knowledge of consumer protection laws and regulations impacting bank.
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Should be a self-starter, organized and able to multi-task to complete projects on time.
Able to work independently and follow through on assigned tasks after receiving initial direction from supervisor.
Effectively communicate both in writing and orally.
Basic computer skills are required.
Complete at least 20 hours of continuing education each year.
